Meet the new Board of Trustees Chairperson

PATHFINDER Medical Scheme’s affordable contributions will help ensure that more South Africans have access to and can afford medical cover. Our contracted service providers are all committed to service excellence, giving you peace of mind that the Scheme you have chosen, has a bright future ahead.

This is the opinion of Dr Kobus Laubscher, Chairperson of the PATHFINDER Board of Trustees (BoT), a businessman who has gained wide experience in the medical schemes industry in positions such as CEO of a medical scheme administrator and trustee of a medical scheme. Dr Laubscher’s is widely regarded as an expert on corporate governance and he serves on several Audit Committees.

Dr Laubscher says he is proud of the working relationship PATHFINDER Medical Scheme has with a number of stakeholders in the healthcare industry. ‘These relationships have resulted in PATHFINDER becoming actively involved in groundbreaking initiatives in the healthcare industry, especially healthcare cover,’ he says.

Please take note of some important changes, made with members’ convenience in mind

PATHFINDER is constantly looking at ways to make belonging to our medical scheme easier for our members. A new year is always a good time to make changes and 2007 is no exception. PATHFINDER would like to tell you about changes in the medical schemes industry and communicate other important information to you on a regular basis. To make sure you receive this communication, you must tell us when your personal details have changed.

What to do if some of your personal details have changed

If any of your contact details has changed (fax number, postal address, physical address, etc. – please also give us your e-mail address if you have one), if your surname has changed, or if you have changed jobs and work for a different employer/company, please inform PATHFINDER as soon as possible.

Your correct banking details is important so that your monthly premiums can be deducted problem-free – it will also ensure that you and your dependants can use your PATHFINDER benefits when you need it. It is also important if we have to refund claims directly back to you.

To make it easy for you to tell us which of your details have changed, we have printed a form for you on the back of this letter. You only have to use the form to update those personal details that have changed.

Please fax the form to us at
012 663 9981
