MEDICINE BENEFIT |

| PATHFINDER applies a well researched and comprehensive formulary of drugs to the
different options. The Pathfinder formulary consists of acute, chronic and chronic PMB
medicines. |

| Trail members have access to a relatively wide but yet restrictive formulary which is applied
in terms of all medication. This formulary consists of mostly generic products. Where no
generic medicines are available, branded products have been made available. |

|
| If medicine items are claimed which do not form part of the Pathfinder formulary, the claim
will be rejected by the Scheme. |
| |
|
| MMAP (Maximum Medical Aid Price) as well as MAC (Maximum Allowable Cost) is applied
to all medicines. |
